Kazuhiro Akimoto

Born in Tochigi Prefecture on January 2, 1965. Representative Director of TPK-WORK’S. Dubbed as Dr. Bug in his childhood.
”Mother Nature of Nasu Highland was my classroom. I have many fond memories of my childhood to pass on to coming generations,” says Kazuhiro. “However, the invasion of foreign fish species is upsetting the ecosystems in the forests, rivers and lakes.These are all brought by the reproduction of such species illegally released into the water.The fault lies with us, humans.”
”I want to find what we can do to help the global environment and want to spread LOHAS to improve our quality of life.
Categories I have particular interests in are ecosystem, biotope, environmental contamination, foods, aromatherapy, alternative healthcare, etc.”

 
Shunsuke Inukai
Born in Nagano Prefecture in December 3, 1968.Representative Director of PANS, Ltd. Father of a son since 2002.
Brought up in the countryside with good air and good water, he cannot drink the tap water of Tokyo. Water servers and air purifiers are necessities found in his office and home.
When he was in fifth grade, he suffered from asthma which was cured as he started playing soccer.And he dedicated the rest of his school life to soccer.

“I am a little bit atopic and see some reactions in my kid (to eggs and sesames) as well. Naturally I got interested in food and air quality,” says Shun.“On my business trip to Germany when I was around 20, seeing the practice of trash separation in supermarkets prompted me to have large doubts about excess working hours and excess packaging culture in this country.”
 
Norihide Ohkubo
Born in Chikushino, Fukuoka Prefecture in 1966. Working for At Zero Four Co., Ltd.
”I visited the island, which I stayed for a month at the age of three, for the first time in the past 30 years,” says Norihide.“I had clear memories about the island and enjoyed exactly the same clear-blue sea, rivers, woods and the scents.And I realized the senses I developed at my first contact with nature have been serving as my judgmental standards in everything.The place was LOHAS ISLAND.I have the desire to make the entire earth LOHAS WORLD.”
 
Remi Kanazawa
Born in Tokyo on April 19, 1978.A designer at PANS/ Organic Concierge
Having worked in one of the traditional confection companys, Remi developed a strong interest in the slow food movement and taste education and became certified as an organic concierge.She prides herself as a LOHAS consumer symbol through the number of individual enrichment courses she takes and the amount of spending on quality goods.“This is a Japanese LOHAS organization.So I would also like to campaign to sustain Japanese tradition, culture and locality,” says Remi.“Resource-poor Japan has to take extra care about the environment.We can not go back to the life without electricity and machinery any more, but I believe in the significance of finding and practicing solutions and ways to reduce their use in practical ways.” 。
 
Yuki Ino
Born in Maizuru, Kyoto in 1979.A member of PANS, Ltd.
”I am a PC geek.But I also think that science and technology might wipe out humankind,” says Yuuki.I was raised way out in the country surrounded by the northern mountains of Kyoto but never savored the environment.I want to represent non-outdoor-persons in trying to figure out what LOHAS is and contemplate LOHAS.”
 
Tomoyuki Tanaka
Born in November 19, 1980. A designer at PANS, Ltd.
”We are living in a world flooded with goods and data.Sometimes we find ourselves drowning in artificial materials and completely isolated from nature.Sometimes we even forget that we are isolated.Sometimes we aren’t even aware of it,” says Tomoyuki. “There are things that escape our attention just because people, culture as well as nature are always around us. Take a look at things surrounding us.Watch them.Investigate them.Examine them.Take care of them.I think these are what make LOHAS.”
